This refreshing red cabbage salad is the perfect side to add some crunch and vibrant colour to your meal! Tossed in our Turkish Salad Dressing, it pairs wonderfully with a kebab, although we pretty much have it next to anything! The Turkish Salad Dressing has a lovely zestiness from lemon, tanginess from cider vinegar and a sweetness from honey.
Serves 2
Ingredients:
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 large tomato, diced
- 1/4 red cabbage, finely sliced or grated
- 5 fresh mint leaves, thinly sliced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 50 ml Turkish salad dressing
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the red onion, cucumber, tomato, red cabbage, and mint leaves.
- Sprinkle in the salt and gently toss everything to combine.
- Pour over the Turkish salad dressing, then toss well to ensure everything is mixed and coated.
- Let the salad sit for a few minutes to allow the flavours to meld, then serve fresh alongside your favourite dishes. We also like to get some bread and mop up all the lovely juices at the end! Enjoy!
